Well Hello There!

If you’ve found this page, your probably a wee bit curious to know more about Parts4Marx and the people behind the scenes. My name is Aimee Gurski, and for the past two years I’ve been working with Robert Grossman as he was preparing to (and did!) retire from his train parts business. But how did I get here?

Like many train collectors, my father Ron LeClaire has been collecting Marx trains since before I was even an idea. As a child in the 80s, I (and the rest of the neighborhood children) watched with fascination and anticipation as dad “ran the trains” on his layout in our basement. While he favored the plastic post-war Marx, I was always drawn to the aesthetic of the pre-war tin litho trains, cars and accessories. Dad taught us all a lot about trains when he would come home from shows with a special find, and I paid attention.

As a rebellious 20-something, the first train set I purchased on my own was an “orange box” Lionel ServiceMaster Set (Mint, in-box, circa 1977) to go around my Christmas tree. When our daughters were born, Grandpa (as he was known by then) indulged each with her own train set for Christmas, and so the legacy continues on.

My father runs the Marx Show-and Tell at the TCA Eastern Division York shows in the spring and fall, and has known Robert for many years. I began working with Robert in 2019, slowly learning the business and gaining knowledge to continue serving the next generation of Marx Collectors. We are honored to be a resource to this wonderful community

I’m happily married to my ever-supporting husband, Steve, an engineer for General Motors with a passion for cars and all things mechanical. Our daughters are in middle and high school, keeping us busier than we ever could have imagined. I’m proud to be the leader of both my daughters’ Girl Scout Troops, at the Cadette and Senior levels. The troops are active 12 months of the year with camping, outdoor adventures and community service projects. I actively support our middle school PTSA (4-year board member), the high school marching band, and the high school figure skating team. We are blessed with the unconditional love of our 9-year old lab, Sundance.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you, and for supporting our business!

Sincerely,
Aimee

  1. Aimee, I am fairly new to collecting Marx trains (however, my very first was an HO train set for X-Mas of ’61). I have ordered a few items in the past but I know the name Grossman, Parts4Marx and yours are especially respected by Marx collectors. As a newbie, here’s to Mr. Grossman’s retirement and your continuing the tradition.
